Paddy Power are under investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland because of an advertising stunt in France.
According to The Guardian, the ASAI received numerous complaints after the Irish bookmaker sent a truck to Calais with the slogan “Immigrants, jump in the back! (but only if you’re good at sport)” emblazoned on the side.
The slogan appeared beside pictures of athletes who represented British teams in their chosen sport despite being born elsewhere, like Mo Farah (Somalia), Raheem Sterling (Jamaica) and Eoin Morgan (Ireland) – as well as the Scottish Andy Murray.
