Piers Morgan has never been known for his subtlety
His critique of Meghan Markle is nothing new; however, it has reached new heights following ITV’s broadcast of Oprah’s sit-down interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
During the interview, Meghan Markle said: “I was really ashamed to say it at the time, and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry especially, because I know how much loss he’s suffered. But I knew that if I didn’t say it, that I would do it, and I just didn’t want to be alive any more.”
Meghan said that it was a “very real thing” to be going through. When pressed by Oprah, Meghan admitted that it was “very clear” that she was having suicidal thoughts.
Meghan shared her personal struggle with her mental in the hope that she can inspire others to seek help if they need it.
Piers Morgan was quick to reject Meghan’s version of events, referring to her as “unbelievably disingenuous”. He said the former actress gave “the Oscar-winning performance of her life”, when speaking on Extra TV.
In classic Piers Morgan style, the GMB host took to Twitter to share his controversial views on the Sussex’s mental health.
*NEW:
For Harry to have caused so much hurt to his grandmother the Queen at a time when her husband lies seriously ill in hospital, is just appalling. When it comes to mental health, it appears Meghan and Harry only care about themselves.

Following the massive backlash he received, Piers Morgan attempted to publicly clarify his views about suicide on GMB this morning.
He said: “On mental illness and suicide, these are clearly extremely serious things and should be taken extremely seriously. And, if someone is feeling that way, they should get the treatment and the help that they need every time.
“If they belong to an institution, like the Royal Family, and they go and seek that help, they should absolutely be given it.”
