Six people were arrested as a result of the raid
Dutch police have raided a warehouse, discovering a makeshift prison featuring a shipping container which had been converted into a soundproof torture room.
According to police, the torture chamber contained a dentist’s chair as well as a number of tools, including scalpels, pliers and handcuffs. Six men were arrested as a result of the raid on charging of planning kidnappings and serious assault.
The discovery last month was the result of investigations by French police, who hacked data from an encrypted phone service used by organised criminals across Europe.
The investigation of the data has led to the arrests of hundreds of suspects across the continent.
