Politics is about to get all handbags at dawn on the TV…sort of

We were going to write the 'mass debate' joke, but we're better than that...

TV is about to get a whole lot b*tchier.

Nope, there’s not a new Katie Hopkins show out – David Cameron and Ed Miliband have finally agreed to have it out live on TV.

Like squabbling schoolyard kids, the Prime Minister and the Labour leader have been talking the big one for months about TV debates.

Red Ed accused the PM of “chickening out” of facing him on the political equivalent of The Jeremy Kyle Show. Now that’s fighting talk.

But after what seems like an eternity of circling each other, they are going to lock horns, as it were.

Well, almost. Dave and Ed will be asked questions individually before being questioned together by a live audience for Sky News and Channel 4 this Thursday.

Not the cat fight we had hoped for.

The seven party leaders will then face off in a mass…ive debate on April 2nd before Labour challenges leaders of the Greens, Plaid Cymru, UKIP and SNP in Round 2 on April 16.

The three main party leaders, Cameron, Miliband and Clegg will then appear on a special Question Time on the BBC.

This is the kind of slanging match we can probably expect….
