Well that, was fucking dreadful
In a series on indicative votes tonight in the House of Commons, a second referendum secured more votes than Theresa May’s Brexit deal ever has.
A ‘confirmatory’ second referendum received 268 votes in favour, but was defeated by 295 votes against.
Meanwhile, the highest number of votes that May’s Withdrawal Agreement received in either of her two attempts to pass it through the House of Commons is 242. It still lost with 391 MPs voting against it.

It’s impossible to predict where this leaves us in terms of going forward, but the motions that received the fewest votes will be chucked out.
Crucially, leaving without a deal on April 12 was rejected 161 to 400.
