Testicle-munching fish found lurking in US lake

Pacu your bags, we're going home...

Ben Kenyon

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, this happens.

The dreaded Amazonian pacu fish, which is infamous for its penchant for human testicles, has been found living in a US lake.

The piranha-like creature, normally found dwelling in South American rivers, has somehow made its way to New Jersey.

A father and son caught the menacing fish, which has human-like flat teeth perfect for crushing, and later discovered it was the pacu.

With nicknames like the ‘ball cutter’ and ‘nut cracker’, they can grow up to 90cm long and 25kg in weight.

If you had any plans of going for a skinny dip while on holiday in the US, we’d probably advise you cancel them right now.
