The ocean is literally on fire
If you needed a reminder of human beings’ capacity to destroy the planet on which we live, take a look at this. A fire broke out on the ocean’s surface in the Gulf of Mexico, with state oil company Pemex blaming a gas leak from an underwater pipeline.
The videos resemble something out of an apocalyptic movie.

Pemex say the fire took more than five hours to extinguish.

Pemex said no injuries were reported and they would further investigate the cause of the blaze.
