Have you ever taken a ‘langauge’ test?
You may have heard about the government’s push to force encourage foreign migrants to learn English more quickly, with those who fail to learn the basics of the language running the risk of being deported back to their native country.
But in a case of ‘Do as we say, not as we do’, it seems that the folks at the Home Office could do with a refresher course themselves after they made a mess of a simple post about the new restrictions.
If you’re going to look down on people for not speaking your language, you should probably re-read everything you’ve written to make sure it’s all correct.
