There’s now a smartphone that can last 15 days without being charged

Simon Lloyd

It seems unthinkable now, but before the days of smartphones it was possible to put your phone on charge overnight and not have to worry about battery life for a matter of days.

It seems that battery-draining smartphones could be about to up their game though, with one manufacturer claiming their new handset can keep running for up to 15 days on just one charge.

The Oukitel K10000 also has something known as a “reverse charging” feature, which means that it can even power up other smartphone and tablet devices.

According to Sky News, the Chinese-made phone comes with 16GB of storage (which can be doubled with a microSD memory card) and a 5.5 inch 720p screen.

The device doesn’t offer 4G, which means that tasks such as uploading photos can become a time-consuming business.

While the rest of it might seem unremarkable, the battery is undoubtedly the selling point.

For now though, we’ll have to wait before we get a chance to play around with such a device as it’s only on sale in China and in the US.
