Have you ever been sent a Snapchat video so brilliant that you wanted it saved for future generations to laugh at?
Something so hilarious that you wanted to keep it on your phone for posterity – to show the kids ‘that time Uncle Kev got his genitals trapped in the door of a moving car’.
Sadly the ephemeral brilliance of a Snapchat video evaporates in seconds, into the digital ether. It’s both a blessing and a curse.
But it seems there is a way, at least for Android users, of recording them directly onto your phone without the sender knowing.
Devious and underhand – yes, we know. But sometimes the world needs to see the look on your mate Dave’s face when he Snapchats you a video of him waking up in next door’s pond after a heavy night.
Damon Beres, of HuffPost Tech, says all you need is the Android app AZ Screen Recorder – No Root from the official Google Play Store.
Just open the app and it will begin recording anything on screen, then just open Snapchat.
Once you have the Snapchat you want to keep, drag down from the top of the screen and stop recording.
Voila! You then have a shareable video file of what your pals got up to on that stag do. Just in case.
