The fuse has been lit and the world awaits.
President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th US president when his inauguration ceremony begins at 14:30 GMT.
An estimated 800,000 to 900,000 people are expected be in Washington, D.C. today, but it is unclear how many will be there in celebration and how many in protest.
To coincide with Trump’s inauguration, various rallies and protests have been organised throughout the US, and around the world.
One person who is definitely not shy about making his feelings known about Trump is actor Alec Baldwin.
The star of Glengarry Glen Ross and The Departed was joined by Robert De Niro, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Moore, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and the Rev. Al Sharpton at an anti-Trump demonstration, and he continued his tirade against the incoming President.

Take a look as Baldwin continues to ridicule and mock the President-elect.

While Baldwin has frequently stolen some scenes in his films, but the actor was upstaged by this young man who staged his own pyro-protest.
Some people just want to watch the world burn, eh?
