After Jeremy Corbyn compared Brexit negotiations to Groundhog Day, it would be rude not to...

Lost in transition.

After Prime Minister Theresa May updated Parliament on Brexit negotiations, Jeremy Corbyn showed his frustration with the lack of progress by likening the news to the cult classic Bill Murray comedy Groundhog Day.

With that in mind, we wondered what other Bill Murray vehicles Theresa May and her cabinet would feel at home in?

Scrooged

In this modern take on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Theresa May (Bill Murray) is a strong and stable Prime Minister whose disastrous election campaign has driven away voters. After refusing to resign, she is visited by a series of ghosts who give her a chance to re-evaluate her actions and right the wrongs of her past.

Stripes

Hard-luck Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson (Bill Murray) — directionless after several aborted leadership challenges — enlists in the US Army with his close pal, Michael Gove (Harold Ramis). After his barely satisfactory performance in basic training, the irreverent Johnson emerges as the figurehead for a ragtag band of Army misfits. However, his hijinks threaten to cause an international scandal when he inadvertently commandeers a military assault vehicle behind enemy lines.

Ghostbusters

After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their working majority in parliament, they decide to become ‘ghostbusters’ to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the country: Brexit. The Ghostbusters must now save the UK from complete destruction.

Kingpin

Theresa May (Woody Harrelson) is a new Prime Minister with a promising career ahead of her until a disreputable colleague, Nick Timothy (Bill Murray), tricks her into calling a snap election that ends with her losing her parliamentary majority. Years later, Theresa ekes out a hardscrabble existence until she discovers Amish political advisor Gavin Barwell (Randy Quaid). With the help of Barwell, she plots to once again reach the heights of political power.

Lost in Translation

A lonely, aging Brexit Secretary named David Davis (Bill Murray) and a conflicted newlywed, Michel Barnier (Scarlett Johansson), meet in Brussels. Davies is there to film a Belgian whiskey commercial; Barnier is accompanying his celebrity-photographer spouse. Strangers in a foreign land, the two find escape, distraction and understanding amidst the bright Brussels lights after a chance meeting in the quiet lull of the hotel bar. They form a bond that is as unlikely as it is heartfelt and meaningful.

Caddyshack

Theresa May (Michael O’Keefe), a Prime Minister down on her luck, works at the snob-infested Bushwood Country Club to raise money for another election campaign. In an attempt to gain votes for a college scholarship reserved for caddies, May volunteers to caddy for a prominent and influential club member Rupert Murdoch (Ted Knight).

What About Bob?

Before triggering Article 50, Prime Minister Theresa May (Richard Dreyfuss) has the misfortune of taking on a new Foreign Secretary: Boris Johnson (Bill Murray). An exemplar of neediness and a compendium of phobias, Boris follows Theresa to her family’s country house. Theresa tries to get him to leave; the trouble is, everyone love Boris. As her oblivious Foreign Secretary makes himself at home, Theresa loses her professional composure and, before long, may be ready for retirement.

Quick Change

With the aid of her Brexit Secretary, David Davis (Geena Davis), and Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson (Randy Quaid), Theresa May (Bill Murray) enters the European Commission building dressed as a clown, creates a hostage situation and executes a flawless robbery. The only thing left for the trio to do is make their getaway out of the city and to the airport. It sounds simple enough, but it seems that fate deserts them immediately after the heist. One mishap after another conspires to keep these clowns from reaching freedom.
