And they say bromance is dead
Barack Obama and Joe Biden stopped by a Washington DC bakery yesterday afternoon, proving that though they might not be running America together anymore, their famous bromance is well and truly alive.
The former US president and vice president ate at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown, where they were captured on video ordering ham sandwiches. The two of them have not made a public appearance together since leaving office in early 2017.
The bakery is run to support US military veterans. It posted an image an image of the pair making their order to Twitter, adding the caption: “Thank you Barack Obama and Joe Biden for supporting our mission of empowering veterans with service-connected disabilities, military spouses, and military caregivers!”
Dog Tag CEO Meghan Ogilvie added to the Washingtonian that the pair’s visit “was a total surprise” and “honestly everyone freaked out”. “It was phenomenal. They took the time to shake every hand, take selfies when asked. They recognized each of our service members,” she said.

I wonder what a former POTUS and VP discuss over pastries: Maybe a crumbling DNC? Or Metro shutdowns? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/u3bgoWqSth

Biden served as vice president to Obama during his eight-year tenure in the White House from 2009 to 2017. In his farewell address at the end of his presidency, Obama described making Biden his deputy as “the best decision he ever made”.
Their appearance together comes after Biden told an audience that he is contemplating a 2020 presidential run. “I know I have to make up my mind and I have to do it by January,” Biden said at a forum in Bogota, Colombia earlier this month.
