Caitlyn Jenner wants to be the governor of California
Caitlyn Jenner has come under fire after she voiced her support for Texas’ abortion ban, saying states should have “the ability to make their own choices”.
The Olympian and member of the Kardashian dynasty is currently on the campaign trail to be the governor of California.
Jenner spoke out in favour of the controversial new law that makes it illegal for a woman to terminate a pregnancy past six weeks. It came into force on September 1.
Next stop outlawing transitioning. Caitlin Jenner has taken advantage of every fucking privilege life has to offer but would take away the privilege from other women without blinking her half dead eye. https://t.co/rkbCaygLm9

Speaking to CNN’s Brianna Keiler, Jenner said: “I am for a woman’s right to choose. I am also for a state having the ability to make their own laws.
“So I support Texas in that decision; that’s their decision. But as far as being a woman’s right to choose, I don’t see any changes in our laws in California in the future.”

Keiler then asked how Jenner could agree with both sides, given that the law “essentially outlaws abortion”.
Jenner said: “‘I think that they have the right in their state to do what they want to do.”
She added: “Now do I agree with the decision or not? No. To be honest with you, I actually probably do not agree with the decision. But I agree that they have the right to make their own decision.”
Her comments have sparked outrage.
“Caitlin Jenner exists as a reminder that being a part of a marginalised group doesn’t automatically make you a good person. There is always work to be done,” wrote one person on Twitter.

“Caitlin Jenner scares me– there I said it…” another said.
Another offered their opinion, writing: “A reminder that Caitlin Jenner is not a feminist. She’s anti-abortion and anti women’s autonomy. The sad thing is that this right-wing conservative billionaire is the only trans person most people will see. We need better trans representation.”
