North Korea leader, Kim Jong-un, has made a decision to delay the firing of missiles towards Guam so that he can stand back and watch how the United States act for a little longer.
The news was announced on the North’s state media on Tuesday and comes after the South Korea President said that his country would seek to prevent war by all means.
According to the Independent, Jong-un made his first public appearance in two weeks on Monday and examined a plan to land four missiles near Guam but has since decided to delay that action.
Jong-un has said that if the “Yankees” continue their extremely dangerous and reckless actions on the Korean peninsula that action would have to be taken.
The announcement that North Korea was planning to fire missiles near Guam prompted a rise in tensions between the two countries last week.
US president Donald Trump stated that North Korea would be met with “fire and fury” if they decided to do anything to Guam.
Then, in a statement later on that week, Trump said that maybe fire and fury wasn’t enough of a threat to North Korea and said that the US military was “locked and loaded” if Jong-un’s country decided to act unwisely.
