At first glance it was thought a gardener was growing Christmas trees ready to chop down and sell in a couple of months.
Turns out an unknown botanist has been growing cannabis instead.
Kingston Police discovered a marijuana ‘forest’ in south-west London and posted the findings on social media.

Grove Safer Neighbourhood officers posed with some of the 150 marijuana plants, which were found a 20 minute walk through wasteland, before announcing on Twitter “We’re going on a bear hunt!!!”

Before you grab a chainsaw and hop in your car, the area has been secured with a plan to destroy the plants underway.
