According to the Telegraph, the blaze spread quickly throughout the market but was under control at around 3am but the fire service reported that it would continue to damp down the market until Monday morning in case of any re-ignition.

The fire service asked people to stay away from the market and also stated that the fire had set the first, second and third floor alight as well as the roof.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but there have been no reports of injuries as of yet.

Camden Lock Market is home to more than 1,000 shops and stalls and attracts an estimated 28 million visitors a year.
