Neil Fingleton, best known for his portrayal of ‘king of the giants’ Mag the Mighty in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 36.
Fingleton, who at 7’7″ was also the tallest man on record in Great Britain, passed away this weekend from heart failure, according to the Mirror.
Fingleton originally made use of his extraordinary height as a basketball player, before becoming an actor in more recent years. He starred in beloved TV shows such as Game of Thrones, and as the Fisher King villain in Doctor Who.
His Game of Thrones character, Mag the Mighty, was a crucial component in Season 6’s legendary Battle of the Bastards episode, wherein he was killed by Ramsay Bolton.
