The truth is out there.
Given how frequently Donald Trump likes to use the term fake news, we’re certain that the US president will be taking to Twitter to debunk this flawed conspiracy theory about his wife Melania.
Sadly for the tinfoil hat-wearing brigade, their belief that the First Lady has been using a body double is incorrect.
Last Friday, President Trump was speaking on the South Lawn of the White House about the Iran nuclear deal and hurricane relief for Puerto Rico.
Here’s a part of Trump’s speech.

Since the footage was circulated, various people have argued that this actually wasn’t Melania that was standing beside him but rather a body double.
Yep, the Internet is a strange place.

In fact, Google searches for terms like “Melania Trump double” and “Fake Melania” have seen a sizeable spike.
Here’s a look at how the term ‘Melania Double’ was trending on Google in the last seven days.
Sadly, there’s no need to get Mulder and Scully on the case because a quick search for images on that particular day will give you all the proof that you need.
This isn’t the first time that such a ludicrous story has been circulated.
During the presidential election last year, then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton began trending online with hashtags such as #bodydouble or #hillarysbodydouble.
Fake News. Sad!
