Britain is today mourning the death of British comedy legend Victoria Wood.
Sir Roger Moore led the tributes to the writer and actress, who was perhaps best known for her shows Acorn Antiques and Dinnerladies.
Difficult to absorb the news about Victoria Wood. She was a total joy to work with and watch on TV. 2016 is becoming a terrible year.

Bloody hell. Victoria Wood. This, btw, is one of the funniest books of comedy scripts you can get. She was the best pic.twitter.com/y9eDeZmhLb

She was shy,yet warm & kind. She seemed to speak for so many, especially angsty teenagers. Then there was Housewife,49. RIP Victoria Wood

I grew up watching Victoria Wood, she made me believe that a girl of any background could achieve her dreams. Such a loss. Love to family ❤

Never again will I be able to barge to the front of a queue saying, "Let me through, I'm pastry dependent" without welling up. #VictoriaWood
