We were shocked to hear the news that legendary broadcaster Terry Wogan passed away this morning after a short illness.
The veteran presenter was a household name for his work on the BBC, both on radio and television.
Wogan had a reputation for being a true gentleman throughout his career, and won the hearts of listeners and viewers across the UK.
Thousands of people have been quick to show their love, appreciation and respect for Wogan following the sad news of his passing today.
He made it seem effortless and for a young boy in Ireland he made it seem possible. RIP Sir Terry Wogan. I'll raise a glass during song 9.

Worked with Wogan on a panel show once. Young comedian does some vulgar material. Wogan: "I can see I'm going to have to lower my game." RIP

So sad about Sir Terry Wogan. What a wonderful, clever, funny man. Did nothing but make the world a happier place.

Warmth, warmth and more warmth and whenever Sir Terry spoke it felt like he was just talking to you. The Master of his craft.

There are great TV broadcasters & great radio broadcasters. Terry Wogan was the greatest TV & Radio broadcaster. A legend of all airwaves.

So so sad to hear the news today about Terry Wogan. Warm, traditional and yet brilliantly subversive. A true TV and radio icon. What a loss.

Terry Wogan was a busy man. But he kindly gave up a day to film some scenes for Moone Boy. He brought and wore his own 80's mustard suit.1/2

2/2 I felt guilty as our day ran long, but when we finished, he still insisted on taking us all out for pizza. He was, and is, a class act.
