Like any self-respecting celebrity in 2016, Lewis Hamilton loves a bit of Snapchat.
The two-time Formula One world champion has taken the lead from stars like DJ Khaled and taken to snapchatting any and all of his globetrotting adventures.
But a recent Snapchat story landed him in hot water in New Zealand, with Lewis investigated by police for recording while riding a motorcycle in Auckland.
Hamilton was in Auckland for a quick visit ahead of the Australian Grand Prix and made two Snapchat recordings showing him riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
But using a mobile phone when driving has been strictly prohibited in New Zealand since 2009 and Lewis soon found himself the subject of a police investigation.
Luckily for him following a review of the footage officers have decided not to take further action. A spokeswoman for Auckland City Police has since said it “does not provide us with sufficient evidence that an offence has occurred”.
Nothing like getting a warning about your driving before you start a new Formula One season, eh?
